Nowadays, the line between the real and virtual worlds is blurring. The virtual world is expanding at an accelerating pace.
But what is “reality” in the first place? I began with the question, “What is “reality” in the first place?
Is what we see real?
Is something tangible reality?
Is a photograph reality?
Is computer graphics not reality?
I want to expand “real”.
And I want to make the boundary between “reality” and “virtuality” more indistinct.
With this in mind, I created a flower that absorbs a fluorescent agent.
They look no different from ordinary flowers. However, when exposed to ultraviolet light, they glow like flowers in the virtual world.
A flower that glows only when no one is looking.
What if there were such a flower?
This is the scene of such a “virtual” world.
